Snow leopardThe snow leopard or panthera uncia is a feline native to the mountains of Asia (Mount Everest), is located in Russia, Nepal and Afghanistan, lives at great heights, about 5000 meters above sea level. This causes that they can not be studied very well.It is characterized by its coarse gray coat and thick tail with which it is sheltered, it is considered adult at 2 years, there are few specimens, so it is in danger of extinction. It is also known as the ghost of the mountains, because it is rarely seen before the man and if you see one this camouflage among the rocks is a lonely animal.Panthera uncia of the family of the felidae, is related to panthera leo or lion, and is believed to have been the first species to diverge from the common ancestor panthera. But differs in that it does not roar like the lion or the common leopardIt feeds on rabbits, deer and moose. It catches larger prey in the breeding period and could have up to 6 pups.Today he is threatened by hunters for his skin and by farmers who kill them for attacking their animals.

Good morning today I will tell you about a very important web page, called chilebosque.cl, on this page you will find a very extensive list of species of native flora of Chile, from nothofagus to ferns, this compilation is very valuable, since it hastens the process Of species identification, a forest engineer is always surrounded by different species and this must be able to recognize each individual within an ecosystem.
This page is free and is available to everyone, serves to get information for school tasks as for college jobs.
The page identifies the species, scientific name, family, distribution area, state of conservation, morphology, etc.
I invite you all to visit this beautiful page about the native forests of Chile, it is one of the few Chilean pages besides conaf that present information about the forests of Chile, a very important resource for our country, not only economically but also For suggesting diversity of biodiversity.
This knowledge is important when it comes to walking or observing natural environments, each species has its own characteristic, whether medicinal, veg, wood
